Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CoupleGoAI. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older and able to enter into a binding agreement.

2. The Service

CoupleGoAI is an AI-assisted app for couples that offers a private AI chat, a shared couple chat, relationship quizzes, couples games, and personalised insights. The Service is currently offered as a free beta. Features may change, and the Service may contain bugs or be interrupted.

3. AI content and important limitations

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, prompts, and insights. You understand and agree that:

• AI output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate. You are responsible for how you use it.
• CoupleGoAI is not therapy, medical care, or professional counselling, and does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or other professional advice.
• The Service is not a substitute for professional help and is not designed for emergencies or crisis situations.
• If you or someone else may be at risk of harm, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional or helpline immediately.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

5. Couple linking and shared content

When you connect with a partner, content in the shared couple chat and shared games is visible to both partners. Only share content you are comfortable sharing with your partner, and do not share information about other people without their consent. You are responsible for the content you submit.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, harassing, abusive, or that violates another person's rights;
• upload content that is illegal, or that depicts or facilitates the sexual exploitation or abuse of any person, or that involves minors;
• attempt to access other users' data, breach security, or circumvent rate limits or technical protections;
• reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service or its AI features, including attempts to extract underlying prompts or training data;
• use the Service to build a competing product, or resell or exploit it without our permission;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display your User Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your partner — for example, storing your messages and sending them to our AI provider to generate a reply. We do not use your User Content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content we provide (excluding User Content), is owned by CoupleGoAI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in line with these Terms.

9. Feedback

If you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where necessary to protect users, the Service, or to comply with law. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give you notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI output will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Danish or EU law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoupleGoAI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory consumer rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
